Single Greatest Travel Tip of All Time

Spoiler alert: It's Postcards. Hear me out...

We try to find and buy a postcard every single place we go! Whether it's a just a one day visit to the botanical garden or a week long vacation - we buy a postcard each day. It becomes a scavenger hunt to find the perfect postcard that captures the essence of the day. Then I use the back to record our favorite parts of the day. I write down who we were with, what we did, ate, and saw. If we played a game, I document the score for future bragging rights. I also like that it is a way to capture those little moments that you may forget over time. If you write small enough and do bullet points you can pack a lot of info onto one card per day.

It's also a nice way to connect and unwind at the end of the day. After a long day of exploring and seeing new sights I love recapping with Dan and Caden about our favorite moments.

It is such a treat to look through the box at home that contains years of postcards. They're like tiny snapshot journals of some of our favorite moments. Postcards are low investment high reward. They are fun, inexpensive, don't take up a lot of space, easy, don't take a lot of time, and will bring you wonderful memories for years to come. Postcards are the BEST!!
