Kotor, Montenegro

We visited Kotor on a Norwegian Cruise in July 2024. The country of Montenegro wasn't originally on our Wishlist but we are happy to have gotten to experience it. Montenegro is roughly the side of Connecticut and is situated on the Adriatic Sea sharing borders with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania. We did an excursion from the ship, Kayaking the Adriatic Coastline. We walked with our guide to the kayaks then kayaked, in a large group, in the Gulf of Kotor. We had a short break half way through to swim in the calm water. The scenery was beautiful with fjord-like mountains surrounding the bay of water. We kayaked a total of 6 1/2 km and then walked through the town walls and stopped in a few shops on the way back to the ship.
