Day 10

Holbrook, Arizona

We didn't originally plan on visiting the Petrified Forest National Park, but I'm really glad we did. The incredible views were well worth the $25 per car fee.

Joseph City

After seeing signs all along the way, we had to stop at the Jack Rabbit Trading Post. This fun stop has been "hoppin" on 66 since 1949. Friendly staff and great prices.

Winslow

We did it. We stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. Fun downtown with shops and restaurants. We went in a local art store and chatted with the vendors for a while and bought a few handmade souvenirs.

La Posada ranks among my favorite hotels we've ever stayed in. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend! We drove 168 miles today.

Day 11

Ash Fork

We got on Crookton Road in Yavapai County to start the longest remaining continuous stretch of Route 66.

Seligman

Seligman is a must-visit destination to eat at Delgadillo's Snow Caps and shop at Angel and Vilma's. Angel Delgadillo is a notable figure who contributed to preserving Route 66 for everyone.

Total of 224 miles today and stayed in Kingman, AZ.
