The Norwegian Epic is a marvelous cruise ship with many unique features. It was a great way to spend our seven day Caribbean cruise. One of our most favorite parts was the activities. This ship had a wide variety of activities. We also loved to look off the side of the boat at the amazing sight of the water. During the cruise we spent a lot of time on decks 17, 16, 15, 7, 6, and 5. This boat had something for everyone! If me and my dad wanted to watch football and my mom and I wanted to play board games we could easily do that. We did every activity on board from the theater to swimming and loved it all.
Rooms
Another thing we loved about this cruise ship was the room. We had a balcony stateroom on deck 11 and it was very clean and organized. The only problem was that when we were at sea the curtain would hit the window a lot and make a lot of noise, especially at night, but otherwise it was very nice. The balcony stateroom has a very narrow walkway (space between the bed and the counter) but since it is just my mom, dad, and me we could easily get where we needed to be.
Dining

The Norwegian Epic also has many food options! If you are feeling like you want to have fish, meat, fruit, or even vegetables for dinner you can. Each restaurant has amazing food especially La Bistro. The thing I didn't like about La Bistro was that the kids menu wasn't like the main menu, it had types of food that you would see at a fast food restaurant like cheese burgers and chicken fingers. I got the cheese burger and even though it wasn't anything like the onion soup my mom got or the steak my dad got (which was extremely good) it tasted very good! I was surprised how good the cheese burger and fries were, but then our waitress told us it came from another restaurant which explained why it only took two more minutes to bring it to our table. A few other restaurants that we loved were the two main dining rooms called Taste and the Manhattan Room. The only difference between these two dining rooms and La Bistro is that they are much bigger and they only have one main menu. Plus in the morning they serve an elegant breakfast with pastries, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. In the middle of the Manhattan Room there is a stage for bands to play and for people to dance which we all thought was very neat. If you ever feel like going to an Irish pub then you're in luck (Get it? Luck of the Irish) because on deck six, mid there is an Irish pub called O'Sheehans. This pub has great food and is right next to bowling in case you want to go bowling afterwards. Now for my most favorite place to eat, the Garden Cafe. I love the Garden Cafe the most because you can eat anything you put your mind to, from pasta to burgers and fries along with cooked cod and many other types of food. One thing I noticed about the Garden Cafe was that they only serve breakfast during breakfast, lunch during lunch, and dinner during dinner. So you couldn't get a burger during breakfast or a waffle during dinner. But other wise it had a nice view and in the morning it would get so crowded that they would use the Italian restaurant (La Cucina) which is underneath the Garden Cafe for more seating, and if you go to the back of the Garden Cafe you will see stairs that will lead you down to the Italian restaurant were there will be extra seating with a marvelous view of the bow. Since we booked the cruise about a month before it was supposed to leave we didn't get to make as many reservations as we wanted so that means we didn't get to go to La Cucina the Italian restaurant, Cagney's Steak House, Moderno the Churrasccaria restaurant that is an additional $59.00, the Japanese restaurant called Yakitori and Sushi, and Teppanyaki the second Japanese restaurant which is an extra $59.00.
Kids Club
I thought that the kids clubs on the Norwegian Epic was better than other kids clubs on other ships. I thought this kids club was better than other kids clubs because it had something for everyone and for any age group. For example, when I was on the Disney Fantasy I felt like the age group I was in was a little babyish, but in the Epic's kids club I felt like there was something for me and for younger kids. There was a sports room, theater, video games, board games, coloring station, beanbag chairs, and very kind counselors. The counselors were very helpful, when I was sitting around and had nothing to do they offered to play a game with me. When my wrist band was too tight and I wanted to be able to take it on and off they easily just cut it off and gave me a looser one. Another thing is that there are 3 age groups on the Norwegian Epic, plus you can give your kid special permission if they would like to leave and come as they please (I was not allowed to do this).
Onboard Activities
Now for the activities! There are many activities on the Norwegian Epic like bowling, basketball, mini basketball (arcade game by O'Sheehans), ping pong, two arcades, jogging track, and shuffle board. A lot of these activities are located on decks 6, 7, and 15. The tiny arcade is on deck 6 along with the casino which we didn't use that much. On deck seven there is a jogging track going along the side of the boat and shuffle board which was very fun as we looked off the side of the boat. Deck fifteen had the most activities like swimming, water slides, ping pong, lounge chairs to enjoy the sun, great view of the sea, chess, mini golf, rock climbing, and the big arcade. We spent a lot of time playing ping pong and using the big water slides like the Epic plunge where you spin around in a bowl and the other ones where you hop in and enjoy the ride. If I had to choose my top three activities they would be rock climbing, basketball, and arcade.
This boat was really fun for us and we hope it is very fun for you.
