Norwegian Pearl

The Norwegian Pearl was the best ship I have been on so far. It wasn't too crowded which I liked. It had something for everyone from a game room for my mom to a bridge viewing room for me and my dad. We have now gone on Norwegian Cruise Line two times and we have liked it both times, especially the room.

The rooms on both Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Pearl were really nice but this time instead of a balcony state room we were in a balcony suite which had more room, same amount of storage, and it also had a way larger bathroom. On Norwegian Epic you would walk down the path way and the bathroom would be on your right along with the shower on your left and then your sink was by the TV. This time it was all in one space with lots of room to move around. We also had two rooms (one for us and one for my grandma) instead of one room this time so we could go from room to room making it feel even bigger than it actually was. When we got to the terminal to get on the boat for the first time we got to go in a much shorter line for security and check in because of the type of room we were in.

Food! There are so many food options on Norwegian Pearl from my favorite the Garden Buffet on deck 12 mid-aft to Teppanyaki the Japanese restaurant on deck 7 mid. This time we got to eat at a lot more restaurants because of how much longer this cruise was than the other. The only ones I didn't get to go to was Le Bistro the French restaurant, La Cucina the Italian restaurant, Cagney's steak house, and the Sushi Bar. There are two main dining options which you can just ask for a table and sit down to eat. My favorite restaurant is the Garden Buffet because it has many options. Also, in the far back of the boat the Garden Buffet is actually connected to an outdoor buffet called the Great Outdoors which had less options but the food was still great. It was close to the sports zone, and you could get a great view of the back of the ship which was especially nice for when we were in a place with lots of nature and great views like Dubrovnik or Santorini.

Now the activities! I loved how many activities were available and how fun the activities were. Yes, it didn't have as many activities on it as the Epic since it was a much smaller ship. For example, it didn't have water slides but it was arranged better than the Epic I think because the Epic took almost three whole decks for the casino. It also didn't have a racetrack, laser tag, 3d arcade, escape room, or big water slides like the newer ships like the Viva and Prima but it was definitely less crowded. Some of the best activities on board the Norwegian Pearl were the arcade, karaoke, the theater, ping pong, chess, shuffle board, and of corse the sports center. The Pearl also had really nice pools. The pools were always very clean and there were four hot tubs in all, two next to each pool.

In conclusion, I liked the Norwegian Pearl and would recommend it to other families. It gave us a fun and relaxing vacation. I hope it does the same for you!
