Split, Croatia

We visited Split on a Norwegian cruise in July 2024. We didn't do an excursion but instead opted to wander around town on our own. Split is the second-largest city in Croatia. We enjoyed walking past restaurants, shops, parks, and along the water. We didn't take a tour but did see the outside of Diocletian's Palace which resembles a large fortress. We shopped in a little market and purchased a few small pieces of artwork, from a local artist, to take home. All of the Game of Thrones merchandise and photo-ops inspired us to add it to our watch list.

If we ever go back, I'd love to see Krka, Plitvice Lakes, or any of Croatia's eight beautiful National Parks.
