My all time favorite place in the world is definitely Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik has many great things to do. My personal favorite is swimming in the clear blue amazing water. A few reasons way this is my favorite thing to do in Dubrovnik is because the water is extremely fresh and clean and the sand on the beaches is so soft and gets nice and warm from the sun. The beaches we went to were not crowded and were located near small shops and restaurants. The water is full of cool rocks and some coral and the water is also very salty so you can just lay on your back and float while the calm waves push you to the shore. It is extremely relaxing and calm so you can just sit and read a book if you don't want to swim just yet.

Some interesting things about Dubrovnik is that the show Game of Thrones was filmed there so if you are a big Game of Thrones fan than this is the place for you because almost wherever you go there are Game of Thrones stores and activities. One of the many places we went there was a big cave with plants coming out of the ceiling and the walls covered with colorful rocks and coral. Along with that you could enter thought this underground entrance going through the rock or you could have took a boat there like we did.

Dubrovnik isn't the only cool place in that area of the amazing country Croatia, there are also the Elaphiti islands and one of the islands called Lopud just blew our minds with its natural beauty. The people there were very nice and nothing there seemed touristy, it felt as if you were a local more than you were a tourist when you came to this fantastic island. Lopud is probably my favorite island in the world it was so nice. The shops were clean and neat and the people in them greeted you with such kindness that we felt at home. The views from all of the shops too were amazing, they had perfect views of the sun hitting the perfect blue water with large green mountains in the background. The water and beaches there did not disappoint either. It was the softest sand I had ever felt and it was warm but not to warm that it burnt your feet when you stepped on it. The water was crystal clear, warm, and salty which was nice when floating on my back. The waves were so peaceful even though there were many ships docked at the harbor. We even saw many types of fish that would swim just a few inches away from us and then move on and disappear in the blue water. We were also lucky enough to be able to try local food there. We had this delicious meal that was risotto with many different types of local marine life in it like fresh octopus that was caught off shore and many other types of local fish.

This is why Dubrovnik, Croatia is my favorite place on Earth. I hope you and your family can visit this perfect place sometime soon.
