Dan is a hardworking guy. He wears functional, durable clothing. This can sometimes lead to "discussions" and difficulty finding suitable options when packing for trips as most of his clothes contain grease stains and holes. While packing for a trip to Paris we had one of these discussions over jeans. I wanted to pack his dressier Levi's and he wanted his trusty Carhartts. Dan has worn American-made, Carhartt workwear as long as I've known him.

Fast forward to Paris. We are in the fashion capital of the world in the Galeries Lafayette. This iconic department store is home to brands like Armani, Christian Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Carhartt. Yes, Carhartt. Apparently, Dan's trusty Carhartt brand has been having a bit of a moment in the fashion world. They even have a Work in Progress branch (Carhartt WIP) for collaborations with other trendy brands.

So, it turns out that Dan is actually a trendsetting fashion trailblazer and gets to pick out his own jeans from now on.
